What is Tómalo Suave?

I believe most things do not need to be rushed, forced, or white-knuckled into submission.

I believe perspective is hard-earned wisdom, passed down by the people who know how to keep their hands steady and their voices low.

Tómalo Suave means take it easy — but not in the careless sense. It means move with intention. Stay grounded. Know the difference between what matters and what only feels urgent. It is a reminder that life is temporary, pressure is constant, and peace is still a choice you make anyway.

The skulls, skeletons, and dead-eyed creatures are not symbols of fear. They are symbols of perspective. They grin back as a reminder that none of us gets out alive, so you might as well loosen your grip and enjoy the ride. Even when life gets heavy, you carry it with humor, style, and a little defiance.

The name is a play on words: take it easy, but also take it suave. Smooth. With style. Because if none of us are getting out of here alive, you might as well move through it looking good and not taking yourself too seriously.

I make clothes with the soul of workwear, because honest things should last. I pull from mechanics jackets, chain-stitched lettering, vintage felt pennants, and halftone horror graphics because character matters. Garments should feel lived-in, built well, and unafraid to get dirty.

I started this brand because I needed to make something with my hands. I’ve been a photographer for 20 years, and I got tired of only making things that live on screens. I wanted to build things you can touch, wear, and hang on your wall. Things that age well. Things that look like someone actually made them — because someone did. Me. In my apartment. With an iron, a sewing machine, and too many ideas.

Everything here is made in small runs. I design it, illustrate it, and produce it. Some of it is screen printed. Some of it is chain-stitched. Some of it is 3D printed and hand-painted on my desk. None of it is mass-produced, and none of it is trying to be precious.

Just good construction, real perspective,

and a reminder to take it easy.

Relax. It’s not that serious.

And even when it is —

no one makes it out alive.

Tómalo Suave, y dale con ganas.
